We can deliver the largest systems eligible under the tariffs
The Feed-In Tariffs and Renewable Heat Incentive schemes are designed to allow for some fairly sizeable renewable energy systems. Solar parks, hydro power, anaerobic digestion and district heating are just some examples of the type of non-property based systems that are eligible through the renewable energy tariffs.
As a company, Ownergy's end-to-end service includes such schemes and we have several under development. For such projects, Ownergy acts as prime contractor, managing all aspects of the development from design through to installation and ongoing system management.
Our large system service
The full scope of Ownergy’s service, where required, includes the planning, procurement and management of such schemes. This begins with the feasibility and then design of the project, including assistance through the process of attaining planning permission. Ownergy will then carry out the procurement of equipment and the appointment and management of all delivery sub-contractors. Finally, Ownergy will maintain and manage the systems through the lifetime of the Feed-In Tariffs or Renewable Heat Incentive to ensure optimal financial return.
Type of systems
The types of large systems that we deliver are as follows:
Solar Parks
We are leaders in the UK for the co-development of solar parks ranging between 300kW and 5MW in size. By co-development, we mean that we will work with you to assess, design, build and manage the solar park.

Hydro Power
By their nature, hydro power schemes tend to be large and require specialist project delivery. Ownergy has a selection of delivery partners who assist us in the delivery of any hydro power scheme that is eligible under the Feed-In Tariffs - in other words up to 5MW in size.
If you have a site that you are considering for a hydro power scheme, then please e-mail us with as much of the following basic information as possible:
- Site location (preferably grid reference)
- Site ownership
- Flow rate of water
- Head of water at site - i.e. height of drop
- Whether you have funding in place or are actively seeking it either via us or from other sources
- Whether you are able to use the electricity locally or not

Anaerobic Digestion
Another specialist renewable energy system for which Ownergy has all of the necessary delivery partners available is the development of anaerobic digestion plants for both the generation of electricity for the Feed-In Tariffs or biogas injection under the Renewable Heat Incentive.
If you an anaerobic digestion plant, then please e-mail us with as much of the following basic information as possible:
- Site location
- Site ownership
- Quantity and type of organic waste
- Whether you have funding in place or are actively seeking it either via us or from other sources
- Whether you are able to use the electricity locally or not

Community & District heating schemes
The Renewable Heat Incentive is intended to support community & district heating schemes although exactly how this will be done is one of the areas that the initial consultation has sought ideas on rather than making detailed suggestions. Ownergy will deliver community & district heating systems that are eligible under the Renewable Heat Incentive, in other words systems that generate heat from the eligible renewable systems.
If you are planning a community or district heating scheme using a renewable energy system, then please e-mail us with as much of the following basic information as possible:
- General site location
- Scheme pwner
- Number and type of properties involved
- Whether you have funding in place or are actively seeking it either via us or from other sources
